At Kyouhei's House
It's still the night after Day 1 of Gaku and Hibari's college festival. Hibari, Airi and Pantera Negra are still at Kyouhei's house.
Hibari and Airi have finally finished printing their additional batch of T-shirts! She gratefully thanks the band for letting them stay so late. Momo is already asleep on the kotatsu. Gaku answers that it's great they finished, while Kyouhei announces that he's going to bed.
However, Jouichirou suddenly appears with plates of curry rice. He tells the guys to eat the curry in preparation for tomorrow. Momo and Kyouhei are extremely tired and ask if they have to eat it now. Jouichirou answers, of course, since their live performance is tomorrow (though I think he means later today, because it's already past 3am). With a threatening gaze, he asks them, "Isn't it our custom to have curry before our live performances?"
Momo and Kyouhei are terrified into obedience.
Eating Together
Everyone sits around the kotatsu together, eating.
Someone asks how was the live performance. Momo says that the new song was well-received. Kyouhei remarks that his argument with Gaku over the summer was worth it (Kyouhei wanted to move towards a more standard commercial direction but Gaku wanted to retain their originality).
Jouichirou says that they were able to strike a balance between the two this time, and it's unusual for Gaku. Gaku recalls Rihito's comments on him last time - that his tone and voice can be more polished.
Gaku explains that it's because he wants to sing in a huge box. Kyouhei brightens up at Gaku's comment and says that Gaku is evolving.
However, the girls don't understand and ask what a huge box means. Gaku answers, "Tokyo Dome."
Kyouhei: Oi! Don't just say it out loud. It's just a dream.
Gaku: If you don't say it, it won't come true.
Momo: Firstly, we have to make a major debut...
Kyouhei: Yes, yes, we need to aim for that first.
Jouichirou: Getting a major debut is 'an adult's world'.
Gaku: ...It's not my thing.
Kyouhei: Firstly, fans are important!
Kyouhei suddenly says to Gaku's face, "For me, liking you is one thing, liking your fans is also important!"
Gaku responds by going, "Heh-"
Watching the boys, Hibari thinks to herself that they're amazing for thinking about practical and realistic things. She tells herself that she also needs to properly think about the direction she wants to progress in.
Jouichirou and Airi
Later, Momo is holding some drink cans and notices Jouichirou isn't drinking any. He asks Jouichirou if he wants to drink something.
Jouichirou glances at Airi quickly (she's drinking something next to him) and replies to Momo that he'll have the same as what Airi is having.
Airi, who hears him, blushes when she notices it. Jouichirou looks nonchalant about it when he opens the drink can to drink.
Kyouhei is aside, smoking, and he witnesses the whole scene. He mutters to himself, "What a bad boy. It's a sin to be blind to that."
Morning
When the train services resume for the new day, Hibari and Airi take their leave and head home.
On the train, Hibari checks the social media account she created for the festival. There's an enquiry message that's come in.
The enquiry is about Hibari's T-shirts - the customer is asking if they will restock today, as they couldn't forget about the T-shirt with the heart design.
Hibari wonders if it's the same female customer who had asked about the T-shirt design that she sold out of yesterday. In disbelief, Hibari excitedly wonders if the customer plans to come again. Hibari replies to the enquiry, saying that they've restocked. The customer expresses their happiness and says that they'll be in touch.
Hibari narrates that this is the first time she's experiencing this and so she wants to express her thanks directly.
She proceeds to take a quick nap at home, then rushes off to school again.
Festival Day 2
Hibari and Airi are at their T-shirt stand once again for the day.
Airi dreamily remarks, "I get it, it's nice to be wanted..."
Hibari smiles and comments that Airi is in a good mood today.
Airi (flustered): You noticed?! Was I that obvious?! ...It's just a what-if, but I wonder if Jou-san likes me...
Hibari: Eh?
Airi (blushing like mad): Eeek! I'm imagining things! It's just a misunderstanding!
Airi says that she shall confess to Jouichirou during the festival. Hibari looks surprised, but doesn't say anything.
Airi: Shall we go to the live performance later today?
Hibari: Eh? We're going?
Airi: Aren't you going?! I think that it's a given that you'd go to all of your boyfriend's performances.
Hibari: I wonder if I'm going too often...
Airi: You were like this when going to his house last time, too- It made you happy when he came to our T-shirt stand, right? It's the same for his live performance.
Hibari narrates: I see...
Speak of the Devil
Gaku suddenly appears at Hibari and Airi's T-shirt stand again, alone this time. However, he's wearing an outfit that's very uniquely designed, and his hair is styled. Airi and Hibari are stunned.
Gaku: Hey, Hibari. Do you still have T-shirts?
Hibari (her heart is pounding because she finds Gaku really cool-looking): What's with the get-up?
Gaku: Ah, this? I was at Momo's fashion show earlier.
Hibari (blushing): That's surprising.
Gaku: Yeah. I don't like being seen by people other than at live performances, but I like the clothes that Momo makes. I want Momo to make the outfits for Pantera Negra.
Hibari notices Gaku's gentle smile as he talks about Momo.
Gaku: More importantly, T-shirts!
Gaku holds one of Hibari's heart-design T-shirts against himself.
Gaku: Oh, it's really cute- I want to wear it for the live performance later today.
Hibari (shocked): Eh? Wearing that?
Gaku: Why? Can't I?
Hibari (blushing): ...It's not like you can't... If you're wearing it for the performance, I think I'll go see...
Gaku: Yay! Really?
Hibari blushes in response. Airi pops up with a knowing smile and pushes Hibari to go around the festival with Gaku. She tells Hibari not to worry and just come back when the customer who texted her arrives.
Date with Gaku
Hibari and Gaku attempt to decide where to head to first. Hibari wants to see the Oil Painting department (Gaku's department), but Gaku wants to see the Design department (Hibari's department). They solve it with a rock-paper-scissors game, in which Gaku wins, so he potato-sack carries Hibari to the Design department 😂
At the Design department, Gaku comments that the work looks difficult, and Hibari asks if that's so.
Hibari agrees that it's indeed tough. She says, "There are many people who have good sense and technique, so it gets overwhelming. I sometimes think that it would be better if I didn't go into design, ......but, since I met you, Gaku, I might have started to believe in my potential a little more."
Gaku stares at Hibari, who blushes back at him shyly. He then squeezes her cheek with his hand, going, "What's with you today? You make me want to eat you up!"
Hibari (shyly): Stop it!
Gaku: Me too. I was able to finish the live performance yesterday because Hibari was there. I'll be very lucky if you're around today too.
The couple smiles at each other.
Bad News?
Gaku's phone rings. It's Kyouhei.
Gaku: What? Don't disturb me.
Kyouhei: Disturb my ass!! Don't you come back at the last minute!
Hibari looks at the time (it's almost 5pm) and wonders if the customer who texted her has arrived. When she checks her messages, she finds a message from the customer, saying that they'll only arrive at 6pm, which is the time of Gaku's performance. Hibari wonders what to do.
Gaku: What's wrong?
Hibari: Ah... nothing. How was your call?
Gaku: I gotta go back soon.
Hibari pauses, then makes her decision. As Gaku's turning to leave, she calls out to him.
Hibari: ...I'm sorry, Gaku. I can't go to the live performance, after all.
Gaku: *turns around, looking surprised*
Gaku's Reaction
Hibari explains that there was a customer yesterday who didn't get to buy her T-shirt. The customer contacted her today, saying that they wanted to come to the festival again to get her shirt, but the timing clashes with his performance.
Gaku goes, "Eh?", and Hibari clearly feels bad while she recalls Gaku's happy expression when she said that she was thinking of going to his performance.
Hibari continues, apologizing for prioritizing herself. However, she wanted to be able to directly meet the customer to express her thanks - it's the first time someone has gone so much out of their way for her T-shirts.
Gaku interrupts her at the last minute, going, "That's why, of course you should go. They're your fan, right? That's amazing, Hibari."
Hibari blushes at Gaku's response. Gaku proceeds to drag Hibari away, saying that he wants to thank the customer who likes Hibari's T-shirts as well. However, he remembers that he has his live performance. Therefore, he asks Hibari to bring along a part of him.
When Hibari seems confused, he asks her for his guitar pick (the one with his phone number that he made into a necklace). Hibari has it with her in her bag, and Gaku says proudly, "As expected of you, Hibari."
He kisses the guitar pick and puts the necklace around Hibari's neck. He also kisses Hibari's neck, surprising her.
Gaku: Seeya! Go get it, Hibari!
Hibari: Thank you!
Gaku and Hibari
Later, Gaku calls out to Kyouhei and tells Kyouhei that he somewhat understands what Kyouhei meant (when Kyouhei had said that liking one's fans is important too). Kyouhei is confused, but Gaku doesn't explain and proceeds to walk out to their live performance.
The crowd screams for Gaku, saying that his T-shirt is cute.
Gaku kisses his T-shirt, and proceeds to perform.
Meanwhile, Airi has gone to see Pantera Negra's performance while Hibari remains at the T-shirt stand, waiting for the customer.
The customer arrives, apologizing for arriving so late. However, Hibari thanks the customer and hands her the T-shirt that she wanted so badly to buy. The customer smiles radiantly upon getting the T-shirt, which makes Hibari really glad.
Hibari narrates that she's happy to have done her best, together with Gaku.
After the festival, Gaku waits for Hibari outside and when he sees her running towards him, asks her how it went. Hibari responds by making an "O" sign with her arms. 😊
