What's Going to Come Next?
Kirino is lying on her bed looking absolutely bushed. The events of the school trip shocked her too much.
She recalls Kametani's words to her as they parted in the previous chapter: "From tomorrow onwards, I'm going to come at you even more. Please treat me well 😏" and wonders what on earth will happen.
Kametani's Attack(?)
The next day at school, while during a lesson, Kirino notices Kametani turned around, looking at her. He at first simply stares, then he blushes and gives her a smirk.
Kirino's heart squeezes at Kametani's smile. Flustered, she thinks to herself that his smile is way too adorable. She thinks that it feels like the gaze of a boyfriend and it's the first time she's seeing a smile like that.
At lunchtime, Kametani approaches Kirino (while she's with Tera) and says that he wants to lunch with her. He asks Tera if she will lend Kirino to him and Tera goes, "Please help yourself." while Kirino looks at the two of them, confused.
Kametani joins his table with Kirino's in their class to have lunch and this causes a small commotion. Other classmates remark, shocked, that Kametani is having lunch with a girl and it's unbelievable.
Time to Eat
As she takes out her bread, Kirino is a little flustered, thinking that they're eating together right in front of everyone. Kametani notices that she only has bread for lunch and asks if that's all she's having.
Kirino explains that it's because she's gotten lazier in the mornings so she doesn't have time to prepare bentos.
Kametani reveals a bento that he brought along, saying that he prepared a portion for Kirino. It looks delicious, with rice, eggrolls and vegetables. He says that it's fine if she doesn't want to eat it, but Kirino tells him that she wants to, if it's fine with him.
Taking a bite, Kirino looks amazed and says that it's delicious. Kametani smiles and says it's a relief, because he isn't very good at cooking and was worried if he messed up.
Kirino is very touched that Kametani tried his best to cook despite not being good at it. She tearfully thanks him.
Then, while eating the bento, Kirino makes various different expressions - a pondering one (which one to eat next?), an excited one (picking out an eggroll), then a blissful one (relishing the taste). Kametani stares at her while she exclaims that it's the first time she's eating something so yummy. He smiles to himself.
Kirino notices that he's smiling and asks him what he's smiling about. He answers that he's smiling because she's so cute. This causes Kirino to blush from how sweet he's being. She wonders if this is what Kametani meant by "coming at you more". She narrates that she won't be able to handle it. Meanwhile, their interaction doesn't go unnoticed by Sakurai.
After School
Kirino has to attend supplementary lessons after school and she laments that it had to be today. When she's finally dismissed, she finds Kametani waiting for her along the classroom corridors.
Surprised, Kirino asks him why he is here and he explains that he wanted to go home together with her. She realizes that he was waiting for her the entire time.
Later, they're walking along the streets quietly. Kirino thinks to herself that she's too nervous and doesn't dare to look at Kametani. Her heart is already beating very quickly from just seeing his shadow.
Shadow Play
When Kirino looks at their shadows, she notices that their shadows make it seem like they are holding hands. She then suddenly flinches and goes, "E-excuse me!!!", confusing Kametani.
When Kametani asks her what's wrong, she explains that even Kametani's shadow is so cool. She is able to idolize even his shadow. When Kametani understands what she's talking about, he says that Kirino's shadow is nice too.
Kametani moves his arm such that his shadow's arm pats Kirino's shadow's head. Kirino blushes and squirms internally at how adorable she finds Kametani to be.
Kametani continues playing with their shadows. He moves his arm such that it looks like his shadow is gently poking Kirino's shoulder, then touching her hair. Kirino narrates that even though she's not being directly touched, she feels tingly all over.
Then, Kametani asks Kirino to turn to face him. When she does, he brings his face close to hers and looks as if he's about to whisper in her ear. However, their shadows make it look like they are kissing. Kirino notices it and thinks to herself that Kametani is doing something incredible.
What's Next
When Kirino turns her head back from looking at the shadows to look at Kametani, he has a finger up to touch her lips. He tells her that if Kirino says that she likes him, it will be a kiss on the lips the next time.
Kirino blushes from the advance notice Kametani just gave. She thinks to herself that Kametani's attacks so far have been overwhelming. Awkwardly, she laughs and says that Kametani's actions are so much like an idol pampering their stan, it would be good if she was able to record it.
Kametani asks Kirino if she is busy after school tomorrow. When she answers that she's free, Kametani tells her to keep it open for him and she agrees. Kirino wonders how else Kametani plans to "attack".
Next Day
Kametani and Kirino reach a riverbank. A confused Kirino asks Kametani what they are doing here.
Kametani glances around to check that no one is around, then he suddenly puts on a wig. Kirino is surprised because it's the hairstyle that her favourite character has (the one that looks like Kametani). Her idol has come alive!
Kametani then takes out a small note and reads out the iconic lines of the character. Kirino is so surprised, her jaw drops open. She asks him what he is doing and he explains that he found out from Tera that this is Kirino's favourite character.
He is embarrassed and tells Kirino not to stare at him, but Kirino becomes very excited. Kametani then apologizes for not being able to prepare the costume as well, but Kirino tells him that it's fine since this is like uniform parody. She immediately takes her phone out and starts taking pictures of Kametani in the wig.
Sparklers
After a short while, Kametani asks if she's satisfied taking pictures. She answers that she is and he removes the wig.
Then, Kametani takes out a packet of sparklers. They light the sparklers up. Kirino remarks that they're beautiful and Kametani replies that it's great that she likes it. He says that if it will make her happy, he's willing to do anything.
Kirino blushes and looks at Kametani, shyly saying that he's been spoiling her a lot. Kametani answers that that's what he wanted to say. He explains that all this time, Kirino has been doing so much to help him and he was wondering why she would do that. However, thanks to Kirino, he's learnt that doing things for someone important makes one feel very happy.
Kirino blushes and looks at Kametani as he says that.
Kametani then says that he also bought mini fireworks. After lighting it up, they stand a distance away and watch the fireworks erupt. Kirino is amazed. They glance at each other and Kirino narrates that this is the second time she's watching fireworks with him.
What Do You Think Of Me?
Kirino remembers that during the first time they were watching fireworks together, she had been thinking of becoming his girlfriend.
Kametani asks Kirino what Kirino meant back then when she had asked him if she was his male friend. Kirino struggles to answer, and Kametani leans towards her and asks another question - what does Kirino think of me?
Kirino's Reaction
Kirino stares at Kametani, blushing but looking conflicted. She looks at his lips, then back at his eyes. She narrates: If I say, "Me too"...
The two look like they are about to kiss, but it starts to rain. Kirino suddenly jerks away and starts apologizing profusely. She suggests for them to hide from the rain under a bridge. In her mind, she chides herself for getting carried away, as this is inappropriate behavior as a stan.
Kametani looks displeased and asks if she's thinking of absurd things again.
Going up towards Kirino and hugging her from behind, Kametani tells her that he wants her to think only about him.
Kirino tries to turn around and ask what he's doing, but Kametani proceeds to cover her eyes and nose with his hands. Speaking into her ear, he says, "Your eyes, nose, ears and mouth. It'd be nice if they were all mine, completely."
Kirino realizes that Kametani wants all of her. He tells her, "Kirino, don't run away from my feelings."
