Yui's Thoughts
Picking up from the previous chapter, Yui narrates that she poured out the feelings that had been smoldering inside her chest with nowhere to go. It's not like anything has changed significantly, but she feels like after putting her feelings into words, she is able to think more clearly.
After slapping herself lightly on the cheeks, she looks at the boys again and tells herself to concentrate on supporting them.
On the court, Ritsu glances at Hayato, then up at Yui, wordlessly.
The Match Proceeds
The whistle blows, signaling for the match to continue. Ritsu makes a smash. The volleyball members excitedly cheer, and Yui also gladly goes, "Nice shot!", thinking to herself that both Ritsu and Hayato are amazing.
Ritsu asks Mukai to pass him more balls and Mukai acknowledges it, commenting that Ritsu is motivated. As the match proceeds, Ritsu scores his second service ace, widening the point lead. It's now 18 to 11.
As Yui watches, she thinks to herself that Ritsu is incredible, but wonders if he's jumping too much.
Accident
The ball gets tossed too high up. Ritsu goes to save the ball, but doesn't look where he's going and crashes into Hayato.
Yui and the watchers become alarmed. "Uwah!" "Is that, blood...?"
Yui immediately dashes towards Ritsu and Hayato. Hayato's nose is bleeding. Mitsuka gives Hayato a towel to absorb the blood and asks Yui to escort Hayato to the infirmary.
Before Hayato and Yui leave, Ritsu calls out to Hayato. "Hayato-kun, I'm sorry; I- I couldn't see around me-"
Hayato lightly bumps Ritsu on the chest, telling him, "We're the same. This is just a result of going all out to get what you want, so don't worry about it. I'll leave the game to you."
Ritsu simply stares after Hayato as Yui brings him away.
Infirmary
At the infirmary, the nurse confirms that there are no problems with Hayato's bones, so she reassures Yui that it's fine (so that Yui won't look so pale with worry anymore). It's just a nosebleed.
The nurse asks Hayato if he hit his head and Hayato answers that it was just his face hitting Ritsu's shoulder. Meanwhile, Yui wonders to herself if she really looked that pale.
The nurse tells Hayato to take it easy and rest until the bleeding stops. Yui and Hayato leave the infirmary, thanking the nurse.
Yui and Hayato
As the infirmary door closes behind them, Hayato lets down his guard a little and chuckles to himself, surprising Yui.
Looking at Yui, Hayato remarks that she was more anxious than him, the one who actually got injured. Flinching a little at his remark, Yui retorts that it's because of how he looked - there was blood splattered around. Hayato answers that it must have been shocking.
Yui narrates with a relieved look on her face that she's glad it wasn't anything serious.
The two of them sit on a bench together. Yui then says that both of them exaggerated things.
When Hayato goes, "Hm?", Yui explains that Hayato had earlier run all the way to the station to look for her. Chuckling a little, Yui says that both of them are too concerned for the other.
Hayato answers while looking at Yui gently, "That's true. Nonetheless, it's normal to be worried after all. We're family. It's no big deal even if it's an unfounded worry. If anything happens, I'll run."
Yui replies, looking fondly at Hayato, "......Me too. I'll run, too."
She narrates: Ah, I feel like I've had enough. There's nothing better than having my beloved and precious family take such good care of me. I'm okay now.
The two siblings smile at each other. Hayato's nosebleed stops.
Ritsu Joins
Ritsu comes running towards Hayato and Yui, going, "Hayato-kun!"
