While Yuuki was on the way home from drinking with Sanae, Seno and Hiro
Iori is outside and he's on the phone with Ibuki.
Iori: Huh...? You're going back...?
Ibuki: Yeah. In the week after next, I'm going to have a tournament, so I'll just live there again. You can contact me any time, and I'll come back once in a while, so that's fine, right?
Iori: You're asking me...? What about Airi?
Ibuki: Both of us each have our own lives, so I'll just contact her and say hi.
Iori: No, did you meet-
Ibuki: Well then, send my regards to Yuuki-chan.
Iori: Oi, wait-...
Ibuki hangs up and Iori frowns at his phone, wondering if Ibuki actually met up with Airi.
Peeping
While Iori is still using his phone, he hears someone call out, "Honda...!"
Iori looks towards the source of the voice and spots Seno breaking Yuuki's fall (which happened in the previous chapter). He watches their interaction (Seno and Yuuki holding each other, then them awkwardly letting go.)
Iori gets irked when he sees Seno and Yuuki holding each other. He narrates that he's thankful, but wants Seno to let go of Yuuki. He also notices that they're talking about something (he can't hear them) and wonders to himself if he should wait for them to finish talking.
Iori decides to keep himself hidden and wait. However, he notices Seno's expression and hears Seno say, "I came because I was worried." and decides at that moment to step in. (This is where Iori appeared to put a lollipop in Seno's hand which was extended towards Yuuki.)
Going Back Home with Yuuki
As Iori and Yuuki cross the street, Iori thinks to himself that he has no room for complacency. He's absorbed in his thoughts and doesn't look at Yuuki when she calls out to him (thus making her think that he's angry.)
He recalls that he said to Yuuki before (Chapter 17), "Don't avoid him out of consideration for me. I want you to treat him how you normally would. Even then, that'd be useless unless he understands that you like me."
Iori thinks to himself that he said that to Yuuki, but...
Back At Home
The moment Iori and Yuuki are behind closed doors, he immediately hugs her.
Yuuki: Uh...um... Are you angr-
Iori: Let me stay over today.
Yuuki: Eh?! ......Okay-
Iori swiftly captures Yuuki's lips with his and deeply kisses her. He seems absorbed in kissing Yuuki, but Yuuki goes, "-Wa...wait, wait...! Weren't you angry?"
Iori: What?
Yuuki: You were mad, right? Just now! You didn't look at me at all...
Iori: Ah! Did it look that way to you? ...Sorry.
Yuuki: Ah... No. It's a given that you'd get mad, it was my fault...
Yuuki starts to apologize for the drinking session with Seno and the others as well as the part-time job. However, Iori says that it's completely fine, since he told her before not to avoid Seno.
Iori: Well, I'd be surprised if you think I got angry over something like that. I wasn't angry at you earlier, but-
Yuuki: You weren't angry, but...?
Time to Talk...?
Iori looks at Yuuki expectantly. He says, "Leaving that aside, we have more to talk about, right?"
The two of them sit down. Both are silent, while Yuuki thinks about how she should explain the reason she cried. It's already past 10PM.
Iori: ...What happened the other day?
Yuuki: ...Sorry... I can't think properly.
Iori: No, it's fine to take your time. That said, isn't the room kinda cold...?
Yuuki: Sorry, the heater's broken right now and it's only going to be fixed tomorrow...
Iori: Then, I'll take a bath first. (I'm pretty cold from waiting at the station.)
Yuuki: Of course! (I'll get the bath ready!)
Iori (looking at the bathtub): The bathtub's pretty big.
Yuuki: It's true! This was what made me decide on this apartment. (I like baths 💕)
Iori: Then, let's get in together.
Yuuki: Okay. ...What?!
In The Bath
Yuuki and Iori are now in the bath together, Yuuki back-facing Iori. She's very shy and nervous, so Iori asks her what's up. She answers that it's too bright. Iori says that he can't see anything nor will he do anything, so it's fine. (Yuuki doesn't really believe him, LOL).
Iori tries to steer them back to the conversation they were about to have before. Yuuki says that her thoughts are still a mess, so Iori tells her that she doesn't need to force herself if she doesn't want to talk about it.
He says, "You realized that something happened and you became worried, but it's hard for you to talk to me about it, right? If talking about it will make you feel better, I just wanted to listen."
Opening Up
Yuuki processes Iori's words for a moment, then begins to talk.
She says that there isn't anything that she doesn't want to tell Iori about. She wants Iori to understand her as much as possible.
Yuuki thinks to herself that she can't just arbitrarily talk about Ibuki and Airi's situation, but she can probably talk about how she feels.
She explains that during the drinking session earlier, they talked about fate and how special it feels. The conversation made her recall Iori and Airi's first encounter.
Iori asks her why, and Yuuki explains that Iori and Airi's meeting was wonderful and dramatic, and she wanted something like that for herself. (Iori is confused but he seems to gets it.)
Yuuki continues by saying that her and Iori's meeting was also dramatic, but she feels that there's nothing special about her, so she feels that her and Iori are far from being considered fated. She feels that she needs to do something about it (but she doesn't know how or what to do).
Iori's Thoughts
Iori: That's not a big deal at all.
Yuuki: I know! (But I'm serious.)
Iori: If that's the case, then you and Seno are more fated.
Yuuki looks confused, so Iori elaborates that she and Seno used to have mutual feelings for each other but missed the chance to be together, so them meeting again seems meaningful. Furthermore, earlier, she and Seno were looking at each other in a "dramatic" way. (Yuuki realizes here that Iori saw them.)
Iori says that all the composure he had disappeared. He says that he could never look at her with such a genuine gaze (he's referring to Seno's gaze towards Yuuki).
Yuuki looks at Iori and seems to understand. Iori concludes by saying, "It's no big deal."
He then hugs her from behind.
Both of them are quiet for a moment, then suddenly Iori splashes water onto Yuuki's face playfully. Yuuki goes, "Geez- (it went into my nose!)" and Iori laughs. He squeezes her cheeks while she pouts, then he lightly kisses her cheek.
Iori adds, "...If you think that there's nothing special about us, then we should be together like this as much as possible. We'll laugh together, cry together, get mad and fight - it's fine. Someday, those moments will become special to the two of us."
Yuuki agrees and answers by giving Iori a deep kiss. As they hug, Yuuki narrates: How we met doesn't matter. Meeting this person is all that matters.
