Fever...?

Picking up directly from the previous chapter, Kametani and Kirino look like they're about to kiss as their faces are close to each other. Kametani gazes into Kirino's eyes while his forehead touches Kirino's.

After a brief moment, Kametani goes, "Ah." and then puts back his mask, saying that he's glad she's not having a fever. Kirino is shocked, realizing that he was just trying to compare their temperatures, even though she had thought that he was going to kiss her.

She asks Kametani why he had to remove his mask and he explains that when he was young, his mother "measured" his temperature by kissing his forehead. Kirino thinks to herself that that seems cute.

Accompany

Later, Kametani and Kirino are outside of Kirino's house. She thanks him for sending her home. Kametani remarks that the area around her house is dark, so she should tell him if she's returning home after dark.

Kirino thinks to herself that Kametani feels like her knight and blushes. However, she quickly reminds herself to maintain the idol-fan relationship. She can't help feeling happy, though.

The next morning, as Kirino is leaving her house to go to school, she finds Kametani waiting outside. He says that he's here to pick her up and asks if she's feeling better.

In the train, he wraps Kirino in a jacket and asks if she brought her PE clothes, then asks if she's done her English homework. Then, at lunch, he asks Kirino if she wants to eat some of the vegetables in his bento. Kirino keeps thinking that he's like her knight, but Tera asks if Kametani has become her mother. 😂 Kirino wonders if Kametani's desire to protect her stems from a parental kind of concern.

Rehearsal

It's now 2 days before the actual performance. The actress for Snow White panics as she still hasn't memorized the script, and the person in charge of the costumes says that he can't finish on time.

The person in charge of costumes then puts a box onto a shelf, reminding others to be careful with it because there are needles inside. However, when Kirino asks the actress for Snow White to practise her movements, Snow White raises her arms too much and knocks the box of costumes over.

The box falls towards Kirino, but Kametani shields her in time. The needles land on his back while he pins Kirino to the ground.

Kametani asks Kirino if she's alright. Kirino holds her hand out to put some distance between them and says that she's fine, but Kametani sees that there's a scrape on her hand. He immediately princess-carries her to the infirmary.

Kirino freaks out, saying that she's fine and that Kametani's the one who is injured, as he has needles still sticking on his back. However, he says that he's fine.

In the infirmary, the school nurse gives Kirino a plaster and removes all the needles from Kametani's back (he took off his shirt for it). Kirino thinks to herself that Kametani's protectiveness of her indeed seems like that of someone protecting an animal or a young girl.

Poster Problems

As Kametani and Kirino walk back towards their classroom, one of their female classmates runs towards Kirino to report a problem. The people in charge of drawing the poster for their play did a poor job.

Kirino ponders what to do, then asks Kametani if he can draw, but finds that he's on "avoid girls" mode, hiding behind Kirino.

Sakurai appears and offers help to draw the poster. He grabs a paper and pencil and quickly sketches something, saying that it's just a draft and asks if he grasped the the concept correctly. Everyone, including Kirino, is amazed at Sakurai's talent.

Kirino also recognizes the drawing style - it's the same style as the doujinshi artist that she likes, sakura00. She begins to ask, "Sa-sakurai-kun, are you...", but Sakurai covers her mouth then brings her away to talk. Kametani notices this exchange.

Keep it a secret

Sakurai brings Kirino to a more secluded area in school and confirms Kirino's guess that he is indeed the owner of sakura00's account. Kirino recalls the stranger she had bumped into at the zoo and wonders if that was also Sakurai then.

Kirino is very excited to learn about this, but Sakurai leans in close to her and puts a finger to his lips, signaling for her to keep it a secret. This is because he does draw some lewd pictures too, even though Kirino says that she appreciates those too.

Sakurai offers to draw pictures upon her request in exchange for her keeping his secret. Kirino is amazed that her "god" has descended upon her. Sakurai asks her what she would like for him to draw, and she says that she will think about it.

Kirino narrates that she's discovered the secret of another transfer student, yet again.

Day Before D-day

It's now the day before the actual performance. The actress for Snow White still can't remember her lines, and the costumes in-charge is panicking.

One of their classmates enters the classroom to share some news - their teacher had given them permission to stay in school until 9pm. The class rejoices. Even though Kirino is glad that the class is hyped up, she's on the brink of exhaustion because she hasn't been getting enough sleep.

When her classmates ask her questions, she gets dizzy and needs to have them repeat themselves. Kametani then suddenly carries Kirino onto his shoulder, telling their classmates that she needs to take a break.

Rooftop

Kametani brings Kirino to the rooftop (why not the infirmary...?). Kirino apologizes to him. Kametani tells her that he understands, and says for her to sleep for a while.

Kirino feels shy to sleep in front of Kametani and turns away, blushing. Kametani wonders what's up, and notices that the sun is still shining brightly in the sky, so he asks if the sun is too bright. (This is why you should have gone to the infirmary......)

Kametani takes off his school tie and proceeds to tie it around Kirino's eyes to act as a blindfold, surprising her. He then says that Kirino's been pushing herself too much, which is worrying him.

Kametani holds her shoulders and tells her to lie down. Kirino thinks to herself that he's been acting too close to her recently and wonders if he is really still bad with girls, or that he doesn't see her as a girl anymore. However, she suddenly reminds herself not to think about such romance-related things, and that she should be happy that her idol is doing this for her.

Kiss...?!

Kametani asks Kirino why she wanted so badly to be the director and scriptwriter. She explains that she didn't really want to take on the role but since she was appointed, she wanted to do her best to give Kametani a good cultural festival experience.

Kametani blushes and leans into Kirino, giving her a kiss on her forehead. (She is still blindfolded). Kirino is surprised and wonders if what she felt was his lips. She then gets up and asks Kametani if he was trying to measure her temperature.

Kametani shyly answers, "...Yes.". However, Kirino wonders what expression he has on and takes off her blindfold. Going up to him to see his face, Kirino finds that he is blushing furiously. He tries to cover his face, going, "Dummy! Don't look!".

In Kirino's head, she's crying foul, because Kametani's actions are giving her raised hopes that this is romance, even though she has been trying to remind herself not to think so.

Kametani tells her once again to sleep, even though she totally can't right now.
