After-effects of what happened on the roof
Kirino is in the bath at home, spacing out, thinking of how Kametani's lips had touched her forehead earlier in the day.
She thinks to herself that it was definitely unintended. She also worries that if his coolness continues to increase at this rate, she won't be his only fan anymore.
Meanwhile, Kametani is lying on his bed at home. He suddenly blushes and screams into his pillow. His mother in the kitchen nags that he's being noisy. At the dining table, she serves him Kisu Tempura (kisu is a type of fish). The word "kisu" sounds like kiss, which triggers Kametani - he abruptly stands up from his seat and blushes.
Next Morning
Kirino leaves her house to go to school and finds Kametani here to pick her up again. They shyly greet each other good morning.
Even as they start walking together, both of them are awkward and shy, still thinking about what happened yesterday, which causes them to not be able to look each other in the eye. Kametani stiffly starts a conversation, saying that today is finally the day of the performance.
When Kirino agrees, Kametani continues, saying that they worked really hard, so they will definitely make it a success. Kirino answers that if Kametani says so, then she feels that everything will definitely be all right.
Substitute
In class, Snow White is finally in costume! However, the classmate promptly collapses from a fever. She overworked herself trying to practise her role.
The class is now being asked to move to the gymnasium to prepare for their performance. Kirino's classmates have to move the props, so Kirino offers to bring the ill classmate to the infirmary, but Sakurai steps up to help instead.
Kirino says that Sakurai's appearance in the play is indeed late, but it's not reassuring to have both Snow White and the Prince's actors absent. While Kirino thinks of what to do, Kametani appears and offers to bring the ill classmate to the infirmary.
Kametani explains that as he is carrying the big props, he's only needed in the second half, so he's available right now. Kirino watches as he holds up the ill classmate and notices that he isn't blushing. She wonders, stunned, if he's been cured of his "allergy" after all.
She panics and imagines Kametani becoming popular with girls and him forgetting about her. However, she also realizes all of a sudden that with the classmate now ill, there's no Snow White. She asks aloud in class if there's anyone who's familiar with the script. Kirino's classmates collectively look at her and say, "...If that's the case, there's only one person... right?"
Last Minute Rehearsal
Kirino is now Snow White and is in costume. Backstage, Sakurai asks if she is all right. She apologizes to Sakurai for having to change the casting so last minute. Kametani appears and asks Kirino why she is now dressed as Snow White. Kirino says that it turned out this way before she realized it. (...😅)
Kirino asks Kametani how the ill classmate is and he replies that she is resting in the infirmary. He then asks Kirino if she will be all right, and she says that it will be fine, because she knows the script better than anyone.
Kirino starts reading out her lines, but she's trembling and stuttering. Kametani pinches her cheek and tells her not to put up a strong front in front of him. He drags her aside and offers for her to practise with him.
Kametani is able to pull off the various characters in the story for Kirino to practise with. Kirino is overwhelmed with happiness, tearing up from how the script she wrote was so well-delivered by Kametani.
Kirino then says that the next scene is the kiss scene, but tells Kametani that there won't actually be a real kiss - they will darken the stage when it's supposed to happen. Kametani stiffens and blushes as he says, "O-oh."
Are you cold?
Peeking onstage, Kirino says that the performance will be starting soon. She suddenly shivers, and Kametani notices it. He asks her if she's feeling cold, and immediately offers her his hoodie.
Kirino tries to give it back, saying that he would be cold too, but Kametani says that it doesn't matter, because Kirino is more important. She shyly thanks him and puts the hoodie on.
Kirino smells the hoodie and says that it has Kametani's scent. He asks her if it's smelly, but she says that it makes her excited. When Kametani looks stunned, Kirino corrects herself to say that it makes her feel at ease.
Smell
Pausing for a moment, Kametani then says, "...If it will help you to calm down, why don't you smell directly?" He tugs down his shirt collar to expose his collar bone. 😲
Kirino goes, "Eh---", but Kametani seems serious about it. She then thinks about how she might soon be losing her title of being the girl that Kametani wants to protect, and decides to take Kametani up on his offer, relishing the current privilege she has.
She goes closer to Kametani and sniffs his neck area. She ends up kissing his neck, then jerks back when she realizes what she's done. Blushing furiously, she apologizes to Kametani, who simply blushes.
He then pulls Kirino into a hug. After a short while, Kametani tells her that she's now covered in his smell. He also says that today, he is her number 1 fan, so he wishes her all the best for the performance.
Kirino is instantly motivated, declaring that she shall claim the title of Best Actress.
(This couple is so random... LOL)
Play Time
Kirino narrates that earlier, she felt that it would have been impossible for her to act in front of others, but now she feels like she can do anything. The play proceeds without a hitch.
It's now time for the kiss scene. However, the classmates are having trouble dimming the lights. Kirino is lying down, wondering what to do, as the lights are still on. Sakurai, who's acting as the prince, apologizes to Kirino and tells her to bear with it.
Sakurai moves his face close to Kirino, then appears to kiss her. The audience is impressed, asking among themselves if that was a real kiss. Kametani witnesses it from side stage and his grip tightens around the script that he's holding.
While the audience applauds the performance, Kametani clutches his chest and wonders to himself what's wrong. He says, "...What's going on...? It hurts."
