In the last chapter, Kirino had asked Kametani if they should go somewhere together during the summer break.
Kametani blushes and says that it's fine, then Kirino goes, "Y-you're willing to go on a date with me...?!". Kametani gets surprised by that and Kirino quickly withdraws her words, saying that she messed up. She clarifies that she meant to hang out normally.
Kametani asks where they should go, and Kirino asks for his LINE contact. They exchange contacts (Kirino can't stop smiling) and go their separate ways home.
On the train, Kirino texts, "I'll be in your care 😊", and Kametani replies the same, without the emoji. Kirino is thrilled to learn that Kametani is the type who doesn't use emojis. She looks forward to learning more about Kametani, and for him to learn more about her.
Please teach me!!
On another day in school, the teacher returns their test scripts. Kirino got 30/100 😠The teacher warns that people who don't pass the final exams will have to attend summer school. Kirino panics and wonders if her summer date with Kametani is at risk.
Kametani approaches Kirino and sees her score, saying that she's in a precarious situation. Kametani himself got full marks for the test.
Kirino then pleads with Kametani to help teach her. She says that she will do anything if he will help her. Kametani agrees and asks for them to meet in the classroom after school. Kirino is overjoyed.
Can't find a good location...
After school, Kirino and Kametani find that the classroom is too full of girls, so they decide to try the library. The library is full of couples. The cafeteria is also filled with people.
While Kirino wonders what to do, Kametani blushes and asks if she wants to go to his place. They end up going.
Kametani's place
Kametani's parents are both at work, so it's just the two of them at home in his room. Kirino is curiously taking in all of the sights she's seeing - the layout of his room, the decorations etc. She notices a T-shirt that has a picture of a celebrity and asks Kametani about it. He looks pleased to know that she recognizes it too.
Kirino notices that Kametani keeps a box of snacks underneath his table and notes that he likes sweet stuff. Kametani gets shy and blocks her view of the box.
Kametani says that he will prepare tea and Kirino says that she will help out. She also hands him a bag of obligatory snacks (since she is visiting his place). She bought it at a train station earlier before they reached Kametani's house. She says that she likes this snack a lot.
Kametani tries a piece of the snack and says that it's delicious.
It's hot!
Kirino falls into a daze, thinking to herself that she's at the home of the person she likes, interacting with the person she likes. She doesn't realize that the tea she's pouring is already spilling over. When Kametani realizes it, he calls out to Kirino and she panics, dropping the cup and scalding herself.
Kametani grabs her arm and brings her to the sink to cool down the burn (his arms are wrapped around her).
Kametani then brings a bandage and puts it on for her. He remarks that she often gets injured.
They then begin to study, and Kirino tells herself to focus.
You're different
After studying for a while, Kametani pauses to stretch and says they should take a break. However, Kirino says that she wants to continue. She says that she wants to hang out with Kametani during summer break, so she has to work hard. Kametani blushes. He also decides to continue.
They both then reach for the eraser at the same time, bumping hands. They both retract, blushing and apologizing to each other.
Kametani then says that Kirino is different from other girls. She asks him what he means. Kametani blushes, then suddenly stands up to leave the room (to bring more water), nervously saying that he doesn't know.
Don't look at me...!
Kirino wonders to herself if he meant that she was special. She gets excited and clutches Kametani's blanket, wondering if he's become conscious of her. She then realizes that she's touching his bed and starts to imagine an otome game scene where the guy leans over the girl in bed.
Still in her own daydream about the otome game, she's deciding whether or not to kiss Kametani. She decides to kiss him, and when Kametani returns to his room with water, he finds Kirino kissing the air. He asks her what she is doing. She recoils from shock and gets very embarrassed.
Turning towards Kametani's bed to hide from him, she tells him not to look at her. However, Kametani reminds her that they're in his room. He goes closer to her, saying that her hiding is making him more curious.
Kirino turns away and tries to hide her face again, but Kametani ends up pinning her on his bed and forcing her to look at him. He reminds Kirino that she agreed to do anything, so he asks her to show him her embarrassed expression. He says that it's his revenge for her always getting to see his blushing expressions.
Kirino blushes furiously from shock and wonders if Kametani is truly not used to girls.
After calming down, they continue to study.
You did a good job
Later, Kirino is outside Kametani's house, thanking him for the study session. Kametani begins to say that he's looking forward to the summer break, but doesn't finish his sentence out of shyness. Kirino declares that she will study very hard!
Fast forward to after the finals, Kirino's scores have improved drastically! She thanks Kametani and he says that she can focus on having fun now. Kirino asks if he was looking forward to it too. He goes, "Hah?! No-no way... Um... a little, I guess."
Kametani pats Kirino's head and tells her that she worked hard. He also says that he may have come to understand the reason he finds her different from other girls.
