Aftermath of the bus trip
After Risa and Hikari opened up their hearts to each other (last chapter), they started talking about various other things - their favourite soft toy characters, the latest episode of a movie, how their exams went etc. Risa narrates that it's the first time she realized that she was so chatty.
Zen is here
Zen confronts the two girls at the bus stop, asking them if they're kids, just alighting at a random bus stop and yet still chatting, then taking an afternoon nap because they got tired. Hikari tells Zen not to get mad at Risa while Risa apologizes for making him worry and says that she will reflect on herself.
Zen asks for a reward for flying over on his bike and Risa offers him throat candy (LOL). Then, Risa's phone rings. She says that it's probably from the cram school, so she excuses herself to pick up the call.
Zen and Kuma
Hikari laughingly remarks to Zen that in front of Risa, he turns into someone who seems easy to manipulate. Zen proudly agrees that he's Risa's loyal dog.
Hikari adds that Risa is amazing, strong, kind and warm - Risa had chased after her and accompanied her all the way here - that there's hardly any people like her. Zen corrects Hikari by saying that it's not "hardly", there's only one of her kind in this world. Hikari notices Zen's proud expression as he says that.
Hikari blushes a little, then opens a new topic by saying, "You know, I've always liked you, Oohira. ...I say this, but I'm not the only one." She explains that during middle school, all of the girls in their class liked him. Zen is shocked, and asks if it's true because he didn't know.
Hikari adds that when he obtained his motorcycle driving license at 16 years old and the news went out, all of the girls said that they wanted to ride pillion on his bike. Zen retorts that they should have asked, so that he could be more popular. However, Hikari shares that when she got to ride with Zen, it was traumatic - the wind was scarily strong, it was noisy and she didn't know where to grab on to. So, she had asked Risa earlier what it was like for her.
Risa took out a pamphlet for motorcycle guides and Hikari asked if Risa was planning to get a license too. Risa explains that she bought a textbook on traffic rules and studied it, so that she would understand how Zen moves - because she intends to keep riding with him. Zen looks surprised to find this out from Hikari.
Hikari smiles and continues sharing with Zen that Risa's mindset is completely different from the rest of the girls who simply wanted to ride pillion. She says that it's rare to experience a heartbreak that feels so good.
Hikari Leaves
Hikari's dad arrives in a car. Risa rejoins them and asks Hikari if they will still see each other at school. Hikari explains that she still needs to settle the paperwork and go through the school transfer exam, so she'll still be in the current school until March. When Risa reacts with surprise, Hikari teasingly asks her if she thought Hikari was going to disappear there and then.
Hikari then says that they still have time to hang out together. The two of them start chatting about visiting this place and that. Zen watches them with a smile.
Hikari's father calls out to her from the car. He and Zen exchange glances. From Hikari's father's expression, we can tell that he recognizes Zen. Nonetheless, he bows lightly towards Zen and Risa in greeting before driving Hikari away.
Risa and Zen
After watching Hikari leave, Zen glances towards Risa and says that they should leave, but he finds her in a slight daze. He pats her on the back and says that she did well. They smile at each other.
While preparing to return home, Risa suggests for Zen to drop her off at the train station near Zen's house. However, Zen says that he wants to make up for their previous date. On the way to fetch Risa, he saw a nice place. It's a Ferris Wheel.
When they arrive at the Ferris Wheel, it's already evening, so it's lit up prettily, which amazes Risa. She's never ridden on one before, so Zen says that it's good - it'll be her first experience.
